The Rinnai Hotflo EHF50S36 is a 50L mains pressure electric storage water heater, hardwired, with a single 3.6kW element. It stores 55 litres in a vitreous enamel lined steel tank and delivers 50 litres of hot water. At 694mm high and 415mm in diameter, the ultra compact tank is designed for tight spots such as under a bench.

Rinnai describes the 50L size as ideal for small houses and sizes it for one person on a continuous (peak) tariff; it is not recommended for off-peak supply. The tank is thermostatically controlled with a safety temperature shut-off, and an inbuilt anode helps protect the cylinder against corrosion.

Connections are dual handed for flexible installation, a pressure temperature relief valve is included and the tank is lead free. A hardwired unit connects to its own fused 240V supply with an isolating switch at the switchboard. Rinnai's domestic warranty covers the cylinder for 7 years (parts) and 3 years (labour), and other components for 1 year.
