Every product we sell is brand new and covered by the full Australian manufacturer's warranty.
Powerland sells brand-new products sourced through Australian authorised distribution channels. Products are supplied with the manufacturer warranty that applies to that product, generally at least 12 months unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer. The warranty period for each product is shown on its product page.
Manufacturer warranty claims
We're here to help. If something goes wrong with a product you bought from us, contact us with your order number, model and serial number and a description of the issue, and we'll lodge and manage the warranty claim with the manufacturer or their authorised service agent for you.
Most appliance brands carry out warranty repairs through their own in-home technicians, so the service visit itself usually comes from the manufacturer's network. Where a brand offers a direct booking line that will get a technician to you faster, we'll give you those details – but you're always welcome to deal with us.
When making a claim, please have your proof of purchase, model number, serial number, a description of the problem and any useful photos or video available.
Assessment and remedies
A product may need to be inspected or diagnosed before the appropriate remedy can be determined. Depending on the product and issue, this may be handled by Powerland, the manufacturer or an authorised service agent.
For return transport, damaged deliveries and refund information, see our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Back Up Plan
Eligible products may also be offered an optional Back Up Plan. The Back Up Plan is a warranty and service product supplied by Powerland and administered by The Warranty Group Australasia Pty Ltd, part of Assurant. It is not an insurance policy.
The plan available depends on the product. Under the current plan terms:
- Replacement Cover Plans are available for certain eligible products costing $500 or less and provide a one-off replacement outcome in accordance with the plan terms;
- Repair Cover Plans are available for many other eligible products and provide repair cover, with replacement available in some circumstances under the plan terms; and
- cover generally begins after the applicable manufacturer warranty period, with the exact cover period identified by the plan code on your tax invoice.
Back Up Plan benefits, limits and exclusions vary by plan. The brochure includes benefits such as technical assistance and, for eligible products and claims, features that may include repair-time guarantees, loan products, food-spoilage or laundry-cost benefits. Always refer to the full brochure and your plan code for the terms applying to your purchase.
Making a Back Up Plan claim
Claims under the Back Up Plan are handled by the plan administrator. The current brochure lists the Australian customer care number as 1800 062 782. Please have your original purchase receipt or tax invoice available.
Read the full Back Up Plan brochure for eligibility, claim steps, exclusions and the exact cover attached to your plan.
Repairs and data
If a product capable of storing user data is repaired or replaced, data may be lost. Please back up and remove personal or confidential information before service where practical.
