Choosing a gas heater
Flued and portable gas heaters for fast, comfortable heat, in natural gas and LPG models. Brands include Rinnai and Omega Altise.
Flued heaters vent combustion gases outside and are permanently installed by a licensed gasfitter. Portable (unflued) heaters need adequate ventilation, and rules on their use vary between states. Check your gas type and the heater's output against your room, and have gas heaters serviced regularly by a qualified gasfitter.

How often should a gas heater be serviced?
Follow the manufacturer's guidance. Energy Safe Victoria recommends servicing by a qualified gasfitter at least every two years.
