Choosing a gas cooktop

Most gas cooktops are bought as replacements, so match the cut-out and burner layout to your bench and confirm your gas type, as conversion options vary by model. Glass tops look sleek and wipe clean, while stainless steel is a durable classic. Installation must be done by a licensed gasfitter, and the rangehood above needs to sit at the minimum height set by the manufacturer and local rules.
