Shaws of Darwen has been crafting fireclay sinks for over 125 years, earning a global reputation for beauty, quality, and craftsmanship. Their iconic Butler and Belfast sinks have been in continuous production since Queen Victoria’s reign, with some still in daily use after more than a century. Founded by Arthur Gerald Shaw, the company began by transforming high-quality fireclay spoil into durable, lustrous products using methods he perfected—including designing his own kilns and encouraging craftsmen to stamp their names on each sink as a mark of quality.

Today, Shaws proudly continues Arthur Shaw’s legacy, maintaining the same meticulous techniques and standards to produce what many consider the world’s finest fireclay sinks.
